Our vision is to see the Church of Jesus Christ grow like an Oak tree in Calgary, in the life-giving power of the Holy Spirit, so that people come into a transforming encounter with the Kingdom of God.

WOODGREEN MISSION

Our mission is to equip God's people to become mature followers of Jesus Christ by using the Biblical means of growth, (God's Word, Prayer, and Discipling) in four major areas of ministry; Worship - Education - Fellowship - Evangelism.

T -Truth - teaching the Bible as the sure foundation for the faith and life of individuals and the church, bringing salvation and growth in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ.

R - Responsibility - encouraging each other to be faithful in living out our Christian lives with love, integrity, faith and honesty. This may mean calling each other to account, gently but firmly, seeking to restore our first love for Christ when we are tempted to wander away. Also being responsible to keep shared needs and struggles confidential and within the group so that it a safe place to come to.

E - Equipping with ministry skills through scripture memory, the ability to give an honest and meaningful personal testimony, along with evangelism and discipling training.

E - Energetic outreach activities to fulfill our calling to make disciples in all the nations with loving and giving hearts. This means seeking to evangelize everyone we know, and some we don’t know, who are presently outside the Kingdom of God. Some ways for Life Groups to do this is to pray for the lost people around us, and inviting them to join the group.

S - Supplication - covering everything we are and do, both corporately and personally, with unceasing prayer.
