WHAT HAS ALL THE FUN OF A ALL THE DEPTH OF AN AND ALL THE CONVENIENCE OF A That’s right; your friendly Woodgreen library!
Now for the inevitable Q and A: Q: Where is the library? A: South hallway, last room on your right (across from gents’ room) Alternately, it’s the room located right behind the piano in the church sanctuary. Hours for using the library are 12 – 1 pm on Sundays. Q: How many resources can you take out at once? A: As much as you can carry out…but you have to provide the bags or boxes (and you’ve got to return all of it on time too ) Q: For how long can we take resources out? A: Four weeks. During the final week of the period, if you want to renew, send an email to

. When returning resources, do so by putting them on the library room table, or leaving them in the Woodgreen church office. Q: Can you place a hold on resources that are signed out? A: Yes, send an email to

with this request and the names of all of the resources. Then, as soon as the books are returned, they will be reserved for you. Q: Where is the sign-out sheet? A: Standing on top of the CD tower, when you walk into the library room. Q: Do we have to sign resources out? A: Yes. If a book is taken out of the library without being signed out, this is tantamount to stealing (even if it’s “temporary” stealing). Please don’t do this. The library committee is trusting the congregation to do the right thing here, rather than asking the building committee to put locks on the library doors (which are not allowed by fire regulations anyway). Q: Can we write in the books? A: Can you write in the church sanctuary bibles? Q: Why aren’t there enough kids’ books? A: Good question. This is something we’re just beginning to build, and your patience is appreciated here. Look for more to be found in the coming months. Q: Can we donate materials to the library? A: Yes. However, once they are donated, they are the library committee’s possession, to be used however the committee deems fit (i.e. either they will be included, or taken into a used bookstore for store credit). Also, no magazines or cassette tapes will be taken. These are easily broken or lost, and the committee have decided not to carry them as a result. However, books, CDs, DVDs or VHS tapes are welcome. Q: Can we suggest books to the library committee? A: Yes, but the library committee reserves the right to refuse suggestions, if such titles are deemed unsuitable for inclusion in the library. |
