At Woodgreen Presbyterian Church, we believe that the Bible, comprising the sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments, is God's inspired, infallible (unfailing), and inerrant (unerring) Word. It is the final authority on matters of doctrine and life. It is the Holy Spirit who sovereignly applies the Gospel to us by working repentance and faith into the hearts of God's chosen, covenant people. The Head of our church is Jesus Christ, who has appointed officers for the care and nurture of His body.

 Dear Parents:
Hello and Welcome to the Happy Hearts Pre-school family. I hope you have been enjoying the summer, even though the rainy days seem to be outnumbering the sunny days so far. Try to think about how good the rain is for the farmers rather than how difficult it is to entertain your children inside the house every day. It can be hard I know. We are looking forward to an exciting year with your children, one in which they will grow physically and mentally. We are pleased that we have had a large number of students register for fall, more than can be accommodated in just one class. Because of this we are offering two classes on a different schedule than last year. Our 2 ½ - 3 ½ year olds will meet on Tuesday and Thursday from 9:30 to 11:30 am. Those who are 3 ½ to 5 will meet on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9:30 to 11:30 am. However, we are prepared to be flexible in these days for those parents for whom these days do not work. For instance if there are 2 ½ year olds who wish to attend for three days each week they can come Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. We would even accept children whom you would prefer to attend 5 days per week after discussion with the school director. I will contact each family to discuss your preferences a little closer to the beginning of school. School will begin on Tuesday, September 7th at 9:30 am. This will give you time to settle older children into their school classes before beginning the pre-school routine. We try to follow the public school schedule for holidays through the year so families can plan their vacation times, etc. without our students having to miss extra classes. On Tuesday and Wednesday there will be a short parent orientation at 9:30 am in the foyer of the church building. The children will be taken care of in the classroom so parents and teacher can have an opportunity to ask questions and get to know each other. Woodgreen Presbyterian Church has an ENGLISH AS A SECOND LANGUAGE (ESL) class for anyone who is interested in attending. The classes are held on Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 9:30 until 11:30, and are taught by an experienced ESL teacher, Mrs. Jean Patterson. The only charge would be for the cost of materials used in the class. If you or any of your friends are interested please contact the church office at 403-251-4855, which is open Monday through Friday 10:00am until 3:30pm. Registration for 2010-2011 will be on September 14, 2010.
