On a Sunday Morning you should expect to be warmly welcomed and to encounter the Living God through His Word! Our service begins at 10:30am and ends around 11:45am. An example of what a typical worship service looks like (our Order of Service) is found here.
• Am I really welcome?
Of course! Visitors and those looking for a new church home are always welcome. In fact, we have visitors and new people every Sunday so you won’t be alone. If you are not a Christian, you are especially welcome to join us to hear more about the Good News of Jesus Christ and what we believe as Christians.
• How should I dress?
We believe that God looks at the heart more than our clothing. There is no dress code and most people dress neatly but casual. Some wear blue jeans, others suit-coats. Come ready to worship God and hear from Him!
• Will I be singled out?
Not at all! Don’t worry, you won’t be asked to stand up or to introduce yourself. We do have visitor cards available in the seats if you’d like to ask for more information about Woodgreen, for prayer or for someone to contact you.
• What is the music like?
We sing both traditional hymns and more contemporary songs. We strive to include songs that are rich in theology, appropriate to the service, and singable for the congregation.
• How often is the Lord’s Super celebrated?
We celebrate the Lord’s Supper (Communion) on the first Sunday of the month. All believers are welcome to participate. After celebrating communion, a fellowship luncheon is generally provided to which all are welcome.
• Is child-care provided?
Yes! Nursery is provided for babies and young children up until the age of three.
• What about older children?
Children of all ages are welcome to take part in the worship service. A special Children’s Talk, for those roughly in Grade 4 or younger is part of every service. A Children’s Bulletin along with crayons is also provided to help them participate.
• What about Sunday School?
Sunday School is available for children and adults from 9:30am to 10:15am on Sunday Mornings. Nursery is also provided for children age 2 and under during Sunday School.
*Note: Sunday School does not meet on long weekends or during the Christmas and summer holiday.*
